I met my soon to be ex-husband Karl Gaffney White weeks after I had been in a bad accident and had surgery while we were both working at a Helicopter touring company in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He was actually involved with another woman he had been seeing for a year and a half. But I believed he was single.
He’s from Ireland and incredibly charming. I mean who doesn’t love an Irishman? I fell for his accent and good looks and believed every Lie he told me.
When he claimed his ex-girlfriend “set him up” and he was the victim, I believed him. Until he did it to me.

I married him because I loved him and believed every single lie he told me. I didn’t realize at the time he had proposed to another woman the same day we were married and was on any number of hook-up sites the entire time.
As things became clearer over the months into our marriage, he was systematically telling our friends and his co-workers I was “abusing” him. Everything he was doing to me, he was telling them I was doing to him.
He was hiding my keys, my phone, my bank cards. I thought I was going crazy.
It was all part of his plan to make a False and Fraudulent VAWA Application. A Loophole in the Immigration system to cut the American Spouse out of the process and get a Green Card for the con artist – Karl Gaffney White in my case. So I am..

Natachia Barlow and this is my story…Natachia Barlow Ramsey, postpartum psychosis, maternal mental health

  5. I was a little taken back after reading your story, but then quickly recalled what I am currently going through and began to empathize. Living daily with PPD is no easy task, and I am under the Dr's care. I know what it feels like to kind of “black out” of reality for just a second or minute, or have a meltdown. You're a brave woman to stand up and speak out; not just on your behalf but for others who are going through the same turmoil.

  7. Julie I really appreciate the feedback and completely understand being taken back by the read. I believe if I came upon this story I would be as well.
